My Current Skincare Routine Great For Combination Acne-Prone Skin!

If you have been following my blog for some time now you probably now my skin struggles, if you not.... I'll catch you up; I had THE worst adult acne breakout ever! I tried everything and was even put on antibiotics by my dermatologist. I cleared up my face and Im happy to say my face is back to normal (occasional) breakouts and no excessive oils.

With my pregnancies I always take a break from using too many products, I don't really need them and I don't like to think I'm putting chemicals into my (baby) body. I started doing research on some new products and others I have been using for years and they don't fail to work for me, this is my current skin care and I have to say my skin has been feeling and looking pretty nice!

AM
  1. Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser
  2. Lancôme Tonique Radiance Clarifying Exfoliating Toner
  3. Ole Henriksen Truth Serum-Collagen Booster
  4. Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation
  5. Elta MD UV Clear Sunscreen
PM
  1. Ceramic Slip Cleanser with Clarisonic Mia (every other day)
  2. Lancôme Tonique Radiance Clarifying Exfoliating Toner
  3. Ole Henriksen Truth Serum-Collagen Booster
  4. Avenue Soothing Moisture Mask
Once A Week Or Every Other Week
Acure Organics Brightening Facial Scrub

The key for me has been to not over stimulate my skin, I only scrub if I'm using a lot of makeup on those days. I can't say enough how important staying hydrated is to your whole well being, but the first place that you start to feel and see a difference is your skin. the post is already long so let me know if you would like my review on any particular one and I can do that on another post!

Drugstore Product Of The Week/ El Producto De La Semana: La Roche-PosayEffaclar Purifying Foam Gel

It's oficial I have found my holy-grail face cleanser. I have tried so many and yes some where good, but there was always something missing. For me it is really important that my cleanser does a good job at removing all my makeup off, but without drying out my face. This cleanser is the bomb, it's a water based foaming gel with a ph 5.5 making it a great balanced product which is just what an acne-prone skin needs. I have been using this cleanser for 3 weeks and could not be happier. My face feels so soft and supple after I wash it with this. I recommend this to anyone looking for a cleanser for oily and acne prone skin.

Purchased Price: $22.99

Good Luck! Xxx

Buenas Suerte! Xxx

Drugstore Find: Clean & Clear Advantage 3-in-1 Exfoliating Cleanser!

I am currently in the hunt for a new routine to replace my old one, my skin has gone from so many changes in the past few months that I don't even know where to begin. I decided to try out Clean & Clear 3-in-1 cleanser after spending two hours in the drugstore reading every single label of products they sold. This cleanser felt really nice on my skin it left it feeling clean but not that tight horrible feeling you get from super harsh cleansers. The one negative is that the microbeads can actually irritate acne even more, so I have to be very careful in avoiding the areas where my acne is worst. I even started using it to wash my body after thee gym to avoid breakouts, and after washing my décolletage and back with it my skin looks more radiant and clear. I love the fresh tingly feeling it leaves on my skin. This cleanser has 5% Benzoyl Peroxide which works as a peeling agent, it increases skin turnover clearing pores and reducing bacteria. I recommend this for normal to oily skin types, for drier skins I would not use everyday as it might dry out your skin. Good Luck Xxx

Tried And Tested: RoC Multi-Correxion Exfoliating Cleanser

I have been trying to make some changes to my routine, it all started when I forgot my FAB cleanser at the gym! Ok so at first I cried like a baby, it was a brand new $18 bottle, but then I thought of the positive; now I can make a much needed change to my routine. I decided to give Roc Multi-Correxion Cleanser a try and I have to say is pretty good! It's creamy but really exfoliates, I finished the whole bottle and did notice my skin looked a bit brighter and I did not have any new breakouts but no less either :(. My problem was the packaging, it's TERRIBLE!! The cleanser kept running out as soon as i opened the cap, which means ALOT of wasted product. I travel a lot during the summer to the cape and NY and it was not fun traveling with this on my bag as it was always leaking. This will not become a part of my routine, not because its a bad product but the packaging is, and just like my FAB cleanser is did nothing with clearing out my acne. So the search continues... Good Luck, Xxx!
