DIY Of The Week: Have Minty Fresh Breath Always With These Three Home Remedies!

  Lets start this post off but stating the following, there is very few things more tortures than speaking to someone that has bad breath. Its also one of the most uncomfortable feelings when you suspect your own breath is not as fresh as it can be so here is three reasons people can have halitosis (aka stinky breath). 

1. Poor Hygiene is probably the most common and the most obvious. If you don't brush your teeth, floss and rinse properly at least twice a day then this might be the cause of your not so fresh breath. Its also important to not forget to regularly clean your tongue. How To Grow Long Healthy Hair/ Cresca Su Pelo Largo Y saludable!


We have all been there, we reach the length we want our hair to be and one day we decide we would look better with a bob. The first few weeks you rock that bob like nobodies business then it hits you, short hair kinda sucks after a while. Before people that love short hair start getting all offended please note that this is my opinion, and yes I've had MANY short hairstyles but prefer my hair long. I think I can call myself an expert in growing my hair, sometimes even for me is hard to believe how many times I've cut my hair. I wanted to share with you guys my favorite tips to growing out your hair, while maintaing its health so your hair can grow luscious and strong.

Todos hemos estado en esta situacion, donde por impulso nos cortamos los cabellos y luego nos arrepentimos. Creo que puedo decir que soy un experto en acelerar el crecimiento de mi pelo, a veces incluso para mí es difícil de creer la cantidad de veces que me he cortado el pelo. Me aburro y quiero hacer algo diferente, aunque últimamente acudo mejor a teñirmelo y no cortarmelo. Quiero compartir con ustedes mis consejos favoritos para hacer crecer su pelo, mientras que manteniendo su salud para que tu cabello puede crecer exuberante y fuerte.



My Top Secrets To Long Healthy Hair:




  1. Step away from the scissors... I know we have heard it a million times that getting your regular trim every few months will help your hair grow. But think about it, you are growing and cutting. In reality all you need to do is start off fresh, go to your trusty hair stylist and request a trim of you split ends and if needed a nice haircut that will grow out nicely and let the hair grow!
Alejate de las tigeras honestamente no es necesario cortarse el pelo cada 3 meses. Al contrario si no tienes daño visible puedes durar hasta un año sin cortarte el pelo si empiezas a cuidartelo. Visite tu estilista y pidale que te limpies las puntas y si es necesario que te de un corte con el cual puedas ver tu pelo crecer y se lusca bien. 

 2. Honestly this is the easiest way to notice a change in your hair, simply give yourself a scalp massage at least before bed. It helps by stimulating blood circulation in the area which activates the growth of hair and even relives headaches! Here's how I massage my scalp to reap all the benefits. I do it twice a day when I first wake up and before bed, I use my fingertips and begin by applying light pressure starting on the forehead where the hairline begins, then gently work my way back all the way to my neck. I like to put my head upside down while I do this, move your fingertips as if you are making small circles and then I like to gently pull at my hair in small sections and end by running my hands thru my scalp.

Aquí es cómo yo me masajeo el cuero cabelludo para obtener todas las ventajas. Yo lo hago dos veces al día cuando me levanto y antes de ir a la cama, yo uso mis dedos y comienzo aplicando una ligera presión a partir de la frente donde comienza la línea del cabello y, a continuación, tire suavemente mi camino de regreso a mi cuello. Me gusta poner mi cabeza hacia abajo mientras que puedo hacer esto, mover la punta de los dedos como si usted está haciendo pequeños círculos y, a continuación, me gusta halar suavemente mi cabello en secciones pequeñas.

 3. I hope it goes without saying that without good nutrition nothing here is going to help you get long healthy hair. As an additive to my healthy diet I love taking biotin and Omega 3 for my hair. honestly I saw an immediate change in my hair and nails after I started to take it and the omega has other benefits too!

4. If I start to name all the lovely hair mask ingredients I experiment with I probably would bore you to death, or never end. The list is really infinite and you can find some of them here on my blog already, but the one I love and ALWAYS use and recommend and vow for is coconut oil. This oil is amazing for so many things and one of them is hair growth and health. If your hair is really dry you could even do the scalp massages I recommended above with this oil, or just use it as a mask before your wash. 

Si me pongo a nombrar a todos las hermosas mascarilla e ingredientes con la cual experimento probablemente no terminaría nunca. La lista es infinita y se pueden encontrar algunos de ellos aquí en mi blog, pero un aceite que me encanta y siempre uso y recomiendo es el aceite de coco. Este aceite es increíble para hacer muchas cosas y una de ellas es crecimiento del cabello y la salud del cuero cabelludo. Si tu cabello es muy seco se puede hacer el masajes con aceite, o como una máscara antes de su lavado si tiene el pelo muy fino o grasoso.

5. I know what you are all thinking, please dont tell me to have long healthy hair I have to give up the heat products... Well you don't at least not for ever, I would recommend giving your hair a break anytime you can from the heat. If you are not going anywhere or maybe wash it let it air dry and try out one of those cool looking braided hairstyle everyone is raving about ;) The key is the less you damage the healthier it will be and the longer it will grow. 

Yo sé lo que están pensando, por favor, no me vayas a decir que para tener mi cabello sano que tengo que dejar el blower y plancha. Lo que si te recomiendo es que si le des  descanso a tu cabello en cualquier momento que usted pueda. Si no se va a ninguna parte o quizás lavar, deje que se seque al aire y probar uno de esos moderno peinado trenzado que todo mundo habla ;) La clave es lo menos daño que le hagas a tu pelo mas saludable  será y mayor será el crecimiento.
 6. Choose a good hair line that meets your needs. Like everything else we are all different and what works for me might not for you. I personally love Moroccan Oil products, I have always gotten good results from using them. I do however like to switch it up and always try other lines and come up with my at home treatments that I always share with you ;) 

 Elija una linea de productos diseñados para la necesidad de su pelo. A mi personalmente me encanta la linea de Moroccan Oil, pero tambien me encanta cambiar de productos frecuentemente y preparar mis propias mascarillas en casa.

7. Don't wash your hair everyday,  Your head produces natural oils that you don’t want to wash out every day, these oils help to coat and protect your hair keeping it strong & healthy. If your hair is colored washing every day will strip the color to some degree.  If your hair is slightly oily and you feel you must wash it every day, this could actually make it worse. Because when you wash every day, you're removing the sebum, (oily secretion), every day, which the oil glands then compensate for by producing even more oil.

No te laves el pelo todos los días La cabeza produce aceites naturales que no desea lavar todos los días, en las que estos aceites ayudan a cubrir y proteger el cabello manteniendo fuerte y saludable. Si su pelo es de color lavado cada día se tira el color en algún grado. Si tu cabello es un poco graso y usted siente que debe lavarse cada día, realmente, esto podría empeorar. Porque cuando usted se lave cada día, estás quitando el sebo, (secreción grasosa), cada día, que las glándulas sebáceas, a continuación, compensar por producir más grasa. 

 8. The sun can wreak havoc on hair; consequently, hair gets dryer, rougher and more brittle, sometime to the point of appearing straw-like, while color pigments are being bleached out.  Aside from staying out of the sun, there are of course hats, and there are outstanding hair products that offer UVA/UVB protection that protect and condition.

I could honestly go on and on about things to avoid or do when trying to grow out your hair, but I will stop here. Remember that the only living portion of our hair is found in our follicles, so the health has to come from inside of us. Treat your hair with love and care, and in no time you will notice a big change in your hair growth and health.

Drink To Your Health And Skinny Jeans!


  I'm a tea drinker, always have and always will. I have my ritual where every morning and late at night (the only time theres silence in the house) I sit back and enjoy my cup of tea. I swear that this little me time makes a big difference in my life. I have been drinking mostly green tea and chamomile but like to mix it up and try some other blends. The other day I was sipping on a cup of white tea and decided to google the benefits of it and WOW was I surprised. White Tea has more benefits to health than any other tea known to man!
