Wax Or Shave?

Hi my loves on this post I want to talk about the two most used methods for hair removal and break them down to see which method id best for you. As an Esthetician I shouldn't even go over the pros of shaving vs waxing, we are told from the first day we step foot in our class to throw away our razors and don't pick it up again. I loved the idea of not shaving again because personally I hate shaving, my skin gets very irritated and itchy and I always cut myself (ouch)!

Personalmente a mi no me gusta rasurarme pues siempre me irrita y me corto!

Shaving is the removal of hair by using a razor, shaving is one of the most common and and convenient methods of hair removal. While it is painless people are not always doing it correctly and or not using the right blade for your skin type or the area that you are shaving, this and other factors could lead to skin irritation and cuts. When we shave we are only slicing the hair down to the level of the skin usually your skin feels smooth for the first day or two.

Privacy of your own home/ Lo haces en la privacidad de tu casa
Exfoliation/ Exfoliacion

Cons:
Skin Irritation/ Irritacion de la piel
Cuts/ Cortadas
Ingrown hairs/ pelos enterrados
Time consuming/ se toma su tiempo
Only lasts a day or two/ solo dura un dia o dos

Waxing is the removal of hair by pulling it out from the root this ensures that you will not see any new hair for at least 4 to 6 week. Almost any body part can be waxed and there are many types of wax suitable for the area. Waxing can be painful and expensive which makes it not as common or convenient as shaving.

Cons:
Expensive/ Caro
Painful/ Doloroso
No privacy/ No hay privacidad

Pros:
Hair free for up to 4 weeks/ Libre de cabello por hasta 4 semanas
Hair grow back thinner/ El cabello crece mas fino
With continue use hairs stop growing/ Con uso continuo el cabello no crese
No cuts!/ Cero Cortadas!!

In conclusion it really comes down to your personal preference I personally prefer waxing over shaving because I have very thin sensitive skin and shaving really irritates me more. I'm also very blind and always cut myself which result in marks on my legs. I also love the idea of one day not growing hair at all which makes the pain worth standing! Whats your favorite method of hair removal?

Is You Hair Breaking You Out?/ Tu Acne Puede Ser Causado Por Tu Cabello!

One of the biggest causes for body acne is actually our hair products! We use so many oil and shine-enhancing products that help keep our hair tamed but also add a TON of oils in our hair! Of course our hair needs it, our skin however, not so much! So one of the easiest ways to boot backne is actually keeping your hair off your shoulders and back when you get out of the shower! If you are a tank gal, try wearing a full neck tee until your hair dries! I also use a body wash with salicylic as a main ingredient and it prevents and treat my body acne.  As for breakouts around your forehead area, after you apply your hair products, run a toner along your forehead and apply a light moisturizer! This has personally helped me in keeping my skin super clear and bump-free!!

Good Luck Xxx

Bumpless Bum!!

I doubt that I am the only one getting ready to rock a bikini soon, with spring break around the corner and summer just a few months away now is the time to set your goals. I started going back to the gym a few weeks ago and look forward to rocking a bikini! As much as I'm loving the difference I see in my body and overall heath I also notice some acne in places I never had before! Body acne is a pain! It’s just no fun! Breakouts on our face really stink, but getting them on our body typically means they don’t get as much attention and sometimes increase or scar if not treated properly. The best I started to deal with backne or acne on my derriere is to use the right kind of body wash. I use to get blemishes on my body from time to time, but now I know is from not showering right after the gym! So I now use Neutrogena body clear body wash, which has seriously cleared my skin. I use it every single day after I finish washing my body, I then again wash my back, chest and you guessed it, with this awesome body wash and it keeps my super smooth! If the acne persist, try rubbing a little toner on the area as well, I love the Lush Tea Tree Toner or Cliniques.
I really hope this helps darlings!! Keep me posted!! Good Luck Xxx
