5 DIY Hair And Skin Treatments Using Coffee That Will Change Your Life!

Coffee has benefits like treating redness and inflammation, improve the appearance of cellulite. Coffee also contains anti-inflamatory and antioxidant properties that can keep your skin bright and soft. Also the caffeine can shrink the blood vessel under your eyes reducing circles and puffy eyes. Try some or all of these beauty DIY and let me know how you liked them....

Coffee Face Mask:
2 tbsp of freshly ground coffee (or used grinds)
2 tbsp cocoa powder
3 tablespoons of whole milk, heavy cream, or yogurt 
1 tbsp of honey

Mix all ingredients together and apply a light coat to face let sit for about 15 minutes. Remove with warm wash cloth.

Coffee Body Scrub:
1 Cup of coffee grounds
1 Cup of coconut oil melted
1-3 Drops of lemon essential oil 
1-3 Drops of orange essential oil
1/2 Cup coconut sugar 

Caffeine Eye Coffe Mask:
1 tbsp of organic coffee
1 tbsp of honey 
1 tbsp of vitamin e oil
Mix all the ingredients together and apply a thick layer under your eyes, leave it on for 15-20 minutes and rinse off. 

Coffee Eye Pads: 
Brew some organic coffee and let it cool. Dip a cotton pad in it and use it to treat your puffy or tired eyes. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes.
 
Shiny Hair Treatment 
Coffee
Water
Prepare a strong coffee, then add a bit of water. let it cool until the mixture is lukewarm. Standing in the tub, pour the liquid onto your hair hair and scalp, then put a shower cap on and sit for 20 minutes. Wash out with warm water.

There are two things that I love in this world, body care and perfumes. Scentbird now has this amazing addition to their monthly perfume subscription. Four body scrubs, and six hand creams to choose from. I got to try four of their hand and body products and I'm in love.

My Review: 

This peeling puff is the bomb you guys, I have purchased this like three times and its so worth it. My skin is left exfoliated, looking brighter, clearer, smother and its so simple to use. 

I love using eye masks, I have puffy under eye bags that are a pain in my butt. I fin that when I use under eye masks they do improve and the concealer wears more smooth and I need less product. One brand I recently used and really liked was Wish Formula panda eye essence. My eyes definitely looked fighter and less swollen after 30 minutes of wearing this mask. 

Lips need love too, I purchased this pack of lip masks from Homegoods for $2.99!!

Finally after exfoliating your skin, you need to hydrate it and give it some nutrients! I love applying sheet masks after I exfoliate so that my skin can absorb all the goodness. 

This one from Peach And Lilly is really nice, I love how my skin feels after I use it and I don't have to rinse it off because it wears great under makeup.

Too Faced Hangover Rx Replenishing Face Primer Review!

I tried this primer from too faced with high hopes, but unfortunately it did not work for me. My first impression when first pumping it in my hand was the smell, I did not like it at all. I love coconut but this smell is more like a rancid piña colada. Then there was how itchy my face was, I think I must be sensitive to an ingredient in it. I decided to still put makeup on just to see if I noticed a difference and if the the itch would go away but I did not. The itchiness got too uncomfortable so I watched my face, which was left red an irritated. 

Overall I would suggest you try it for yourself, the reviews I read mostly raved about how great their makeup looked over this primer and the smell being divine. For me it was a completely different experience. I will be returning this one back to sephora and trying out another primer.... Which one do you guys like? 

My Top Three Beauty Boxes...

I decided its time I unsubscribe on a few of my monthly beauty subscriptions, I mean they start to really add up at the end of the month $$$... To help me make the best choice I decided to compare them with each other and choose the one that best meets my taste. The perfect box for me would have to come with a combination of products that are useful for me like makeup, hair products, nail polishes and some skin care... I'm not a big fan of skincare products however since my skin is so sensitive I hardly can try any of them.

March's birchbox was full of blah products a sample size cherie blossom perfume, an impossible to open Minteas, Gilchrist & Soames bidy lotion, Beauty Protector leave in conditioner, Ghirardelli chocolate, and Coola mineral sunscreen. Is You Hair Breaking You Out?/ Tu Acne Puede Ser Causado Por Tu Cabello!

One of the biggest causes for body acne is actually our hair products! We use so many oil and shine-enhancing products that help keep our hair tamed but also add a TON of oils in our hair! Of course our hair needs it, our skin however, not so much! So one of the easiest ways to boot backne is actually keeping your hair off your shoulders and back when you get out of the shower! If you are a tank gal, try wearing a full neck tee until your hair dries! I also use a body wash with salicylic as a main ingredient and it prevents and treat my body acne.  As for breakouts around your forehead area, after you apply your hair products, run a toner along your forehead and apply a light moisturizer! This has personally helped me in keeping my skin super clear and bump-free!!

 Its no secret I love blushers, its the first makeup item I always go to in the makeup counters and if I had to pick just one item to use for the rest of my life it would be without a doubt a blush. I love the effect it gives, it contours, brightens and just makes you look so sexy and put together. I do own a lot of blushers and from all brands, but some of my favorite are definitely from MAC, and picking just five from all the ones I own was not an easy task but here they are!

Drugstore Find Of The Week: Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

My desperation to clear my skin has brought me to the point of madness, and yes i know that by stressing I will only breakout more and will cause other health issues. But when I decided to go to school and become an Esthetician the last thing I was expecting was that my skin would break out so bad from trying soooo many products not meant for my skin type. I promise to one day be brave enough, maybe when my skin actually clears to show pictures of how bad my breakouts are right now.. until then my quest for clear skin continues and I think I found one of the best masque to assist in my goal.

I decided to purchase this super a affordable masque after watching beauty gurus all over youtube rave about it. I will admit that I love a bargain more then anyone but when it comes to skin care I had the believe that the more $$ the better the product, I'm not ashamed to admit that I was oh so wrong. This masque is really amazing and deserves all the rave it gets. I have been using it once a week for a month now and I will say that it not only calmed my irritated blemished skin but it also aids in faster healing, 

my pores look smaller and my skin is left silky smooth. My makeup looks awesome and even my friends have commented on how much faster my face is clearing up. I will most definitely be adding this to my routine and recommend it to anyone suffering from acne, blackheads, and or large pores. 

The super ingredients; Kaolin (clay draws out impurities), Bentonite clay (eliminates toxins), Glycerin (humectant), Zinc Oxide (anti-inflammatory) and other ingredients the list is short but I just wished they didn't add fragrance to it, I'm usually very sensitive to fragrance in skin care products but it hasnt bother me with this mask at all. Whats Your Beauty Routine?

 What exactly is a beauty routine? A beauty routine is a few things we do every night to keep us on our game! For instance, my beauty routine is removing my makeup, washing my face , applying eye cream, and retin-a, and leg lifts! I know it might seem so funny, but making this super small changes has DRAMATICALLY changed my appearance, trust me! So tell me what are some of your beauty routines you couldn't live without? I LOVE OLE!!

 I love makeup more then the normal person, but I also like to be makeup free, nothing feels better then removing my makeup and loving it. I believe that makeup should be a choice and not a necessity  I have never been happier with my skin then I am now, and I'm not even obsessing about it as much as I used to. I began eating healthier and changed some terrible habits I had and boy have I noticed a difference. But the real difference is my skin care routine. I began using Ole Henriksen's 3 little wonders 2 months ago and my skin has never looked better. I had been suffering from some serious breakouts and I can very happily admit to maybe breaking out once or twice a month now which I don't mind them since they normally are a sign of my period :).  I get tempted to add products to my routine but always think back to were I was a few months back and that brings me back to sanity. My Morning Routine!

FAB facial Cleanser

Lush Tea Tree Toner, Garnier anti dark roller, Estee Lauder Idealist, AND Origins Vitazing

My mornings routine is all about keeping my face oil free but looking fresh and awake! I use the same wash by FAB without the clarisonic brush (I only use at night unless, I'm doing my makeup). Then I spray some of my LUSH tea tree toner on a cotton ball and apply on face, concentrating on the T zone. I take a little bit of Idealist serum and apply evenly on my face. I move to my eyes now and take Garnier skin renew anti-dark circle roller and apply it under my eyes, then blend in gently using my ring finger. And finally Origins Vitazing (i did a review on this one) I take a quarter size amount and apply on face and neck. And that's it, no matter the changes I make I try to keep my mornings routine as simple to me as possible this might seem like a lot of products to some, but remember its all about your personal needs when it comes to skin care. My Curent Evening Routine!

I wanted to share with you guys my current skin care routine, I will be doing one for the morning as well since some of the products are different. My skin type is Oily, acne prone, and I'm also trying to erase some acne scars. I am always trying new products, even when I find something that works I am always looking for the next best thing, but that's just because I'm crazy :) I do wish I could just stay using the same products for years but I'm a beauty geek, and wont stop looking for my holy grail products.

Clarisonic Brush and FAB Face Cleanser

 I have been using this cleanser now for eight months! that's very rare for me but I do love this cleanser a lot, its gentle but it really goes to work, it removes all of my makeup and it works wonderful with my clarisonic brush. I recommend you always use a gentle but effective cleanser with the Clarisonic brush because if you use a harsh cleanser it will irritate your skin. Then I pat dry my face and move on to the next things.

Origins Eye Doctor, then Retin A not pictured, Estee Lauder Idealist, and Dr. Weil for Origins Night Health

I start off by putting a small amount of eye cream on my ring finger and gently tap it on to the skin around my eyes, you dont want to rub or be too harsh since this will cause lines to form. Then I put a pea size amount of my (not Pictured) prescribed Retin A on my skin and gently rub it in, I wait about one min then I put on Idelist by estee lauder, and finally put a snall amount of Origins Night health.

I recommend you exfoliate first, always go in order remember that whatever goes on first penetrates the best, so whatever it is that you are treating acne or wrinkles apply that first. Apply to just washed skin, that's damp NOT WET. Always use retinoids at nighttime and top it off with heavy occlusive ointments. Dry Skin

I have oily skin, and to be honest I never thought there will be a day were I would stop having it. But after using so many harsh products, to combat acne, and aging! my skin does tend to get on the drier side. There are also many other factors during the winter that will dry out our skin, especially when the weather starts to turn cold, heaters and we tend to turn up the heat on our showers. Here are a few quick tips to combat dry skin for those of you that have it all year round or for those (like me), that only get it sometimes.

• Drink plenty of water.
• Use cream moisturizers.
• Mix moisturizer with concealer when applying around the eye to prevent creasing.
• Choose a moisturizing oil-base foundation, if you have acne prone skin try a non-oil based.
• Lightly powder only where you tend to get oily with a brush.
• Use cream blush.
• Using shimmers on your face and eyes will help give a dewy look. 

So remember whatever your skin type might be you can benefit from adding one of my tips to your daily routines. Good Luck xx

Drugstore Find

 I am quite skeptic about products and what they seem to promise! I admit, many of the products I try do what they say, but there a ton of products that do squat! Well, this product happens to do a lot, even more than it promised! I have been using this product for about 3 months now and I have to say, my skin definitely feels tighter! I really love using this on my legs, arms stomach and chest. What makes this lotion even better is it smells really great, but it also makes your skin so soft! I have purchased many "firming" lotions in the past and have been honestly used once and never again because of the smell so this was the icing on the cake for me. I really love this product and I think this will be one of those I buy for a long time!!
