Valentines Day 2018 Date Night Inspired Makeup Look Using Only One Eyeshadow Palette!

 Happy February my beautiful people, I am so happy to finally have a video up for you guys. If you follow me on Instagram (you should be) then you saw that I lost almost 4 hours worth of makeup tutorials! Completely erased and as you can imagine I was very upset, but the surprising thing is I was only upset for a few minutes. After that I was just back to business, I tried to recoup as much as I could save and here is this super fun makeup tutorial. 

So there is this "challenge" its been around for at least a year now, where the challenge is to create a makeup look using all the colors of one palette. The real challenge of course is to come up with a wearable look, and my friends I think I accomplished that! Would you agree? 

The Huda Beauty Rose Gold Edition comes with 18 colors, the palettes has mattes, chrome, pressed pearls, and metal eyeshadows. I was very impressed at how most of the eyeshadows blended do nicely together. The pressed pearls and chrome were more tricky to blend but that is to be expected with the formula. 

The staying power was very impressive, the above picture was taken 4 hours after I had recorded the look and everything was still very much set. For people with hooded eyes, this is very rare that the colors don't start to blend in with one another and crease.

Drugstore Skincare Product Of The Week: Nivea Moisturizing Body Wash Care Almond Oil Hibiscus Scent.

Nivea is one of my favorite brands for drugstore body care, their  body products are hydrating and just the perfect amount of scent. I started using the almond oil and hibiscus scent moisturizing body wash, and my skin loves it!  

It is formulated with Nivea's Hydra IQ Technology and Almond Oil, to intensely moisturize your skin, but without the greasy feel. Priced under $5, I have compared it to more expensive body washes and if not equally better its very close. 

What I like to do for extra dewy soft skin is to apply it with just my hands, like a lotion. Then I rinse it with cool to cold water. I pat dry my skin. I come out and hydrate with lotions and or oil to lock in the moisture. My skin has been so soft and hydrated this winter, I am so happy to have a budget friendly routine that works for my super dry skin.

30 Minute Full Body Workout Using Dumbbells For Faster Results!

We all know that everything in life worth achieving takes time, but usually we don't always want to wait! We want to see that booty perk up, the abs to show a six pack, and shed 20 pounds in one week. Unfortunately, there is no such thing one can do to get results fast, even plastic surgery takes months to look "good" and well it also has a lot of risks and scars :(. 

Ok well now that I just depressed myself there a little bit, the reality of the situation is the time it takes to transform your body is precious. You'll always remember and appreciate the work you put in because it will make you a better person, and a beast at achieving what you want. 

Here are five of the exercises that help me see results faster when  done correctly and consistently: 

Dumbbell Squats With Shoulder Press

Burrrrnnnn thats what happens every single time I use dumbbells when I squat. Even the lightest weight feels so much more intense, and I can really feel the area I am trying to activate. What I believe makes this move so good is that you can tell after a few workouts that you can add more weights or add repetitions. Which means... you are killing it! 

Try It

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart with whatever pound weights you feel challenged but not too extreme. Squat down as if sitting on a chair. Keep your weight on your heels. Always squeeze your bum on the way up, and bring the weights straight up. 

3 Sets Of 15 Reps. Increase Weight As You Get Stronger. 

Tricep Dips With Dumbbells

This might be the hardest one for me to do without screaming out a few curse words. The burn is insane, but remember the burn is your friend... all its telling you is that your body is reacting. The burn by the way is lactic acid your body produces to let you know your muscles are being challenged which is exactly what we are trying to do! 

Try It 

Start with feet flat on the floor, hands behind hips fingers pointing forward, knees slightly bent. Gripping from the dumbells lift hips off the floor, slowly bend elbows as fas as possible and then squeeze your triceps to straighten arms lifting your body up. 

This move can be done in different variations, depending on your fitness level, and available equipment. 

3 Sets of 10 reps.

Seated Russian Twist 

This is probably one of my favorite ab exercises, if done correctly you feel the burn within seconds. Adding the weight makes this move so much more challenging but oh so worth it. 


Try It 

Only one dumbbell is needed for this move, sit on the ground with your knees bent and legs in front of you. Lean back as far as you can without rounding your spine, it is really important that your back is straight. Start twisting to either side, twist slowly bringing the weight to that side. Inhale when you are back to the center and then rotate to the other side, that equals one repetition. 

3 Sets Of 15 Reps.

Rotating Plank With Dumbbells

As if planks were not hard enough to do without shaking and begging for the seconds to fly by, adding a twist and weights makes this a real killer... A fat killer ;) Ok so why should you add the twist to this move you ask. The twist is key at targeting those really hard to get rid of love handles. Enough said! 

Try It

Start with a regular plank position but with dumbbells in each hand, feet a little wider than hip distance. Lift your right hand towards the ceiling twisting through your torso. Go slow with controlled moves, mind your posture. Bring your right hand to original position and lift the left hand. 

3 Sets Of 10-15 Reps. 

Sumo Squat With Shoulder Press 

This workout is one of my favorites, it works out every muscle in your body and even helps improve your posture. When I'm feeling a little extra I even add a calf raise to make sure those are getting nice and toned! 

Try It 

Grab your dumbbells at arms length in front of you, with your feet wider than shoulders. Slowly start to lower your body, bending at the knees, the dumbbell should almost touch the floor. Stand up to the starting position and when knees are locked press the weights directly overhead. 

3 Sets Of 10 reps.

Lancome Grandiose Extreme Review With Pictures... Is It The Best Mascara?

 Lancome has been known to have some pretty great mascaras and I was anxious to try this one when it caught my eye. I have been slowly trying them out to find which is my favorite. I will be doing a review on all of them and rating them from 1 to 10.  

The first one I reviewed is their 'Grandiose Extreme' a mascara they claim will give you volume, length and up to 24 hours of wear. The wand is shaped in what they have trademarked " The Swan Neck Wand" which is what helps you achieve the latter.

Grandiose Extreme  

My first impression of the mascara is how beautiful the packaging is. I really liked the shape and details of the bottle. 

The curve of the wand is meant to help apply the mascara more precisely. It took some getting used to but after a few strokes I got the hang of it and it actually does help apply it more precisely. 

The texture of the “formula”that coats your lashes is very nice. It allows enough time for you to brush the mascara and style them to your liking then dries to a vibrant matte black 👌🏾

The real concern all woman have when wearing a mascara... Is it going to run on me? I have really sensitive eyes and they constantly get watery, so I’m very picky when it comes to choosing my ride or die mascara. 

The first time I wore it I had a full face of makeup on, I was in front of lights and I moved around a lot. The mascara did not run it held up well. So I’m starting to get really excited now.

However it looked spidery and clumpy, I was very disappointed at this. 

I was ready to put it back in the box to return it, then I realized why my lashes were so clumpy. I got eyelash glue on them . How does one forget to wait for the glue to get tacky. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I gave it a fair try again and my lashes looked a lot better. I worked out and cleaned the house, it did not run. My lashes held the curl and length for like 10 hours.  

The Score 

I would rate this mascara a 7, the wand design can be a little tricky and I smeared mascara on my eyelid and cheeks a few times.

The application of the mascara would go on so much more even and less heavy if the wand didn’t pick up on so much formula. The solution would be to wipe some of it off but then you end up wasting a lot of product. 

Overall it’s a good mascara with more positives then negatives but it’s definitely worth trying.

My Easy Glam Makeup Look Using All My 2017 Favorite Makeup!

I am so happy to be back you guys, I took a quick pause on blogging so that I can get my house back to normal. My biggest challenge as a work from home mother of four is time managing and well the laundry was starting to pile, and the mess was just too much to handle. I also found that because the house was not to the standards I like to keep it in, my creativity was down.

Saturday Night Football At Gillette Stadium!

I had such fun night watching the Patriots kick butt, and of course I took some pics for the blog too! I never thought that I would enjoy watching sports as much as I do. The night was so much fun and different than what we usually do. We were invited to watch the game from a suite and I can now scratch that off my bucket list too! There was so much delicious food and drinks, the best part was watching the game live without freezing my butt off! 

The debate when going to any sports game for me is what to wear. Since I was going to be in a warm suite I dint have to worry about dressing for the weather. I have been dying to wear this cute little outfit I bought when I was on vacation from Forever 21. The plaid print wide leg jumpsuit fits me perfectly and the sheer longline shirt was a great way to have layers but still letting the jumpsuit have its moment. The whole outfit was $40 and it felt and looked like it should have been more. I can wear both items again in so many different ways, I paired it with my favorite sock boots, YSL bag and red lips!

I was so happy when Pantone announced Violet as the color of the year of 2018, its really a beautiful color and looks great on clothing and makeup! I don't own any of Natasha Denona palettes, and they are in my list of I want to try but why so expensive tho? This palette sells for a whooping $239 and its highly rated. The reason I love palettes like this is you get the whole family of purple and some gorgeous blues here so you can really get creative when creating looks. One of the hardest shade to create for makeup artist is purples, getting the right shades can be tricky but from the reviews I hear that Natasha Denona got it right! 

The shade Electric Violet is almost if not the exact shade of the color of the year.

Violet Voss Hashtag Palette 

Don't feel like spending all your dough in a makeup palette? yeah me neither. The Violet Voss Hashtag palette is a beautiful warm palette with red undertones in all the shades. The color Life is very close to the color of the year and its only $45 for 20 colors.

One of the funnest way to incorporate the color of the year is with Mascara, and the Maybelline Volum' Express is really nice! Created by the beautiful and talented Shayla @makeupbyshayla its available in most drugstores. I have the black one and assuming the formula is the same the wand does a beautiful job at opening up and lengthening your lashes.

Any of these products will make a great addition in your makeup collection and will allow you to incorporate the color of 2018 to your looks. DIY Of The Week: Have Minty Fresh Breath Always With These Three Home Remedies!

  Lets start this post off but stating the following, there is very few things more tortures than speaking to someone that has bad breath. Its also one of the most uncomfortable feelings when you suspect your own breath is not as fresh as it can be so here is three reasons people can have halitosis (aka stinky breath). 

1. Poor Hygiene is probably the most common and the most obvious. If you don't brush your teeth, floss and rinse properly at least twice a day then this might be the cause of your not so fresh breath. Its also important to not forget to regularly clean your tongue. Best Dressed, Makeup And Hair At The Golden Globes 2018!

I love award shows they are not only great as entertainment but also as makeup and fashion inspiration. The Golden Globes is definitely one of my favorites, its always so exciting to see which movies take the price and when one of you favorites get the globe its even better. 

In the past I would share my favorite and worst but this year I want to be more respectful of others taste and idea of beauty. So instead 

I rounded up only my top favorite dress, hair and makeup looks from this years 2018 Golden Globe. 

I love Angelina Jolie, she will forever be my WCE, I think she looks so stunning. Her hair, makeup dress I love everything! I think I sense a makeup tutorial on this look maybe?.... 

Eva Longoria looks absolutely stunning pregnant! I love her in this phase of her life, and her makeup looks beautiful. 

Halle Berry is Goals, I  mean she looks AMAZING! She stood out to me because of how comfortable and relaxed she looked. Her makeup artist created the most perfect minimal makeup look on her, its flawless.

Can we please take a minute to appreciate Jessica Biel's toned and sexy ass arms! Her makeup is giving me all the spring vibes that my cold feet need right now and her Dior dress is stunning! 

I am so proud of my girl Mariah Carey, I mean she looks so good! This is one of her best looks in my opinion, we all know she's a lover of the mermaid cut dresses but she wore this one perfectly. Her hair and makeup look great too. 

I really love how Zuri Hall looked on the red carpet, everything from her makeup to her hair and dress I was really loving. It reminded me of a long version of a dress I wore recently. Her confidence on the red carpet is just everything!

Last but not least the beautiful Dove Cameron AKA Mal from Disney Descendants, my daughter Valentina will be so happy her favorite villain is in my list of best dressed. She looks beautiful, the simple bow brings back youth to her formal back gown. Her hair and makeup look flawless she really looks beautiful here. 

Is My Scar And My Stretchmarks Gone? One Month Dermaclara Clarafuse Silicon Fusion Follow Up!

I had the oportunity to try Dermaclara and see if it really helps fade scars, for those off you that don't know or didn't see my video on Instagram here is the details. 

Dermaclara is a Silicone Fusion Treatment that reduce stretch marks, scars, keloids and fine lines quickly and comfortably- without painful injections, laser, or expensive and high risk surgeries. It is meant to give you medical grade results at home. 

The heart shaped Silicone Fusion sticks to the skin and can be applied almost anywhere on the body. I used one on stretch marks and one on each of my breast, to see how it helps fade my scar from my recent breast reduction.

I also received a Claratone, a micropulsating device technology that helps enhance product absoption. It was pretty cool to use, it vibrates and feels pretty cool. 

I did not see much change in my abdomen area from the Dermaclara, except for the skin looking brighter and healthier no change was noted in the stretch marks. I will blame this on the fact that they are older then they probably recommend for the effectiveness of this treatment. 

The big change is clear on the scar on my breast, its a new scar (only 3 Months) so it worked really well. I can tell the improvement immediately and the area also feels smother. Here are my results after one month of using it every other night for 7+ hours....... 

Overall I'm very happy with my results, for my size scars it worked great. I will say that for the use of stretch-marks, unless its only in a small area it really does not cover much ground. Which if you consider the price tag is not a great value, for scars, or a small area of stretch marks, wrinkles it makes it worth it. 

The patch is good until it stops sticking, which happened right around the one month mark. I would love to keep using this to see more improvement of my scars. What do you guys think, is the improvements noticeable to you?
