My Favorite Pantone 2018 Color Of The Year In Makeup And Beauty!

I was so happy when Pantone announced Violet as the color of the year of 2018, its really a beautiful color and looks great on clothing and makeup! I wanted to round up my favorite (Mostly Eye) makeup and beauty products in this shade for you and its also a little shopping list for items I might grab when shopping for makeup.

 Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette #28

I don't own any of Natasha Denona palettes, and they are in my list of I want to try but why so expensive tho? This palette sells for a whooping $239 and its highly rated. The reason I love palettes like this is you get the whole family of purple and some gorgeous blues here so you can really get creative when creating looks. One of the hardest shade to create for makeup artist is purples, getting the right shades can be tricky but from the reviews I hear that Natasha Denona got it right! 

The shade Electric Violet is almost if not the exact shade of the color of the year.

Violet Voss Hashtag Palette 

Don't feel like spending all your dough in a makeup palette? yeah me neither. The Violet Voss Hashtag palette is a beautiful warm palette with red undertones in all the shades. The color Life is very close to the color of the year and its only $45 for 20 colors.

One of the funnest way to incorporate the color of the year is with Mascara, and the Maybelline Volum' Express is really nice! Created by the beautiful and talented Shayla @makeupbyshayla its available in most drugstores. I have the black one and assuming the formula is the same the wand does a beautiful job at opening up and lengthening your lashes.

Any of these products will make a great addition in your makeup collection and will allow you to incorporate the color of 2018 to your looks. SensatioNail Fuse Starter Kit Review

I have never been a big fan of Gel nail polishes unless its for a special event like a wedding or a vacation. I personally LOVE painting my nails every other day I find it relaxing and I can express my mood thru whatever color I pick. I was shopping for new nail polishes and came across this Sensational Fuse Starter Kit and decided to give it a try. I really liked it the instructions are easy to follow and it was fast and easy. My manicure was flawless until I decided to take it off which was eight days later. The only negative to gel polishes are that they don't just come off unless you soak your nails in acetone or scrape the polish off which really mistreats my nails but I will definitely be using this when I want a long lasting manicure for events or traveling. There are a lot of color to choose from too!

Nunca he sido un gran fan de esmaltes de uñas de Gel a menos que sea para un evento especial como una boda o unas vacaciones. Personalmente me encanta pintarme las uñas a cada rato me resulta relajante y puedo expresar mi estado de ánimo a través de cualquier color que elijo. Estaba buscando nuevos esmaltes de uñas y topé con esta sensacional fusible Starter Kit decidi darle una oportunidad, es muy facil de hacer pues las instrucciones son claras. Mi manicura duro impecable por mas de una semana hasta que yo me lo quite. Lo único negativo es que el esmalte en gel puede ser tedioso para remover y puedes maltratarte tus uñas. Definitivamente voy a usar este kit para ocasiones especiales o cuando vaya de vaciones, también hay muchos otros colores hermosos para variar!

Product Rave/Producto Que Me Encanta: Maybelline New York Color Show!

I dont think I own any Maybelline nail polishes, and for these colors to be the first I might become obsessed. I went to cvs late last night and grabbed these three colors, I could not wait to try them on. I woke up early morning and did my nails. These colors are absolutely beautiful, they go on smoothly evenly and highly pigmented. The colors compliment my tone in a beautiful way and dry very fast. I am completely happy with this purchase and look forward to trying out more Maybelline nail products!

No creo que soy el dueño de cualquier esmaltes de uñas Maybelline, y para que estos colores ser el primero podría convertirme en obsesionada. Fui a cvs ayer por la noche y tome estos tres colores, no podía esperar para probármelos. Me levanté temprano en la mañana e hice mis uñas. Estos colores son absolutamente hermosos, van suavemente y uniformemente y altamente pigmentadas. Los colores complementan mi tono de una manera hermosa y seca muy rápido. Estoy completamente feliz con esta compra y deseosos de probar más productos para las uñas Maybelline!

Review Time/ La Hora De Criticar: Essie Sleek Stick!

 I cant remember the last time i hated a product this much, seriously I wish I can get by $20 back! Ok so before I tell and show you why this product gets zero love from me let me clarify that I am an Essie fan! out of the hundred of bottle of nail polish I buy a year 90% are Essie. They really make the some of the most unique and beautiful colors! Now back to the why I hate these sleek stick so much...

When I opened the package of Sleek Sticks there are 18 appliqués on a sheet of plastic, also in the little package is a mini nail file, instructions for application and removal and a thin hard plastic tool which you can use to remove excess sticker after applying them to your nails. There are 9 different sizes of appliques (2 of each size) in the package so it's pretty easy to find one that will fit each nail perfectly, unless you have retarted nail shape like mines. None of the shapes really fit perfectly and you can forget about trimming it, as careful as I tried to be they just got all wrinkly and looked worse than before. 

In conclusion they looked OK if you where standing a few feet away from me, but up close they looked really bad. they looked smudged and the corners started peeling of after I washed my hand a few times. they also did not feel comfortable, think when you first put on acrylic nails that heavy feeling.  And forget about discreetly peeling them off in public they leave a sticky gunk of sticky glue on you nails that annoyed me to the point of stopping in a CVS for nail polish remover because I couldn't wait to get home. 

This is my personal experience, i'm sure there are a lot of succesful stories out there with these nail sticks. The only positive I can say is that the designs on the nail look super cute on the packaging ;)

Drugstore Find: Sally Hansen Nail Polish

 The more I try this brand, the more I like it! I recently started using the Sally Hansen Insta Dry Nail Polish and it’s a complete keeper! I started using it because the color selection was phenomenal and the price was even better! but when I tried the polish, I was completely impressed with how fast it dries and how gorgeous the colors are out of the bottle! Honestly, the reason why I can’t do my nails at home is because they take too long to dry, but this completely solves that problem! It literally dries in less than one minute with amazing shine and you are good to go! Perfect to keep in your bag for perfect nails on the go! You must try the colors!! Whatever your budget, you really must try these!! Love them!! Good Luck Xxx

Bright Healthy Nails!

The other day as I was getting my nails done, and as much as I was forcing myself not to look at the ladies next to me the curiosity won and I looked, the poor lady had the most yellowest nail I’ve ever seen without nail polish, it was pretty shocking! I wanted to giver some tips on how she can get her nails looking well... Normal again but I didn't want to embarrass her. So here are my tips for you guys so that you avoid or treat :)

As much as I love manicured nails, I am not a fan of unhealthy anything and let’s face it, if nails don’t get air time, it starts to show! So whenever you can, skip the nails salon do your own Mani- Pedi , and leave them colorless.  Here is a quick way to keep your nails super bright and healthy in between polish changes!

In a small bowl, mix together enough lemon juice and baking soda to create a slight paste. Massage on your nails and leave the mixture for a couple of minutes before rinsing. Make sure you do this between every polish change for super healthy nail. Good Luck Xxx
