Valentines Day 2018 Date Night Inspired Makeup Look Using Only One Eyeshadow Palette!

Happy February my beautiful people, I am so happy to finally have a video up for you guys. If you follow me on Instagram (you should be) then you saw that I lost almost 4 hours worth of makeup tutorials! Completely erased and as you can imagine I was very upset, but the surprising thing is I was only upset for a few minutes. After that I was just back to business, I tried to recoup as much as I could save and here is this super fun makeup tutorial.

So there is this "challenge" its been around for at least a year now, where the challenge is to create a makeup look using all the colors of one palette. The real challenge of course is to come up with a wearable look, and my friends I think I accomplished that! Would you agree?

The Huda Beauty Rose Gold Edition comes with 18 colors, the palettes has mattes, chrome, pressed pearls, and metal eyeshadows. I was very impressed at how most of the eyeshadows blended do nicely together. The pressed pearls and chrome were more tricky to blend but that is to be expected with the formula.

The staying power was very impressive, the above picture was taken 4 hours after I had recorded the look and everything was still very much set. For people with hooded eyes, this is very rare that the colors don't start to blend in with one another and crease.

Check out the video below and let me know what other looks I should create for you?

Jem And The Hologram Limited Edition Palette Review!

I had a mixture of happiness and melancholy when I purchased this palette. I was only a little girl when I started watching Jem and The Hologram, it was my favorite cartoon. I remember watching it and then role playing with my sister, obviously I was always Jem!

Ok so enough about my childhood..... The palette is gorgeous and trust me when I say I was surprised to find out how much I love it. I had already made up my mind that no matter what I would keep it but to have it and love is completely priceless.

The colors are pigmented, smooth and you have a good selection of colors to choose from. The only thing this palette is missing is a good matte transitional color, there is actually not too many matte colors. This is no surprise, if you watched Jem then you understand that this palette is perfect as is!

Laura Mercier Candleglow Luminizing Palette Review!

I am on a major glow hunt, I don't know what it is but everything I have is not doing it for me anymore. I want that perfect glow, the kind that looks like you are shinning from within! Unfortunately this palette did not help me achieve that at all. Laura Mercier makes great products so I was very optimistic about trying this palette when I saw it in the store, but the colors all look so ashy (grayish) on my skin. The palette is lacking pigment and its just an overall fail in my opinion. Below I took pictures with and without flash, and had a hard time because the colors were not showing at all in the pictures so I packed on the color and it helped. like always this is my experience and I'm sure others will find this palette to be great so by all means check it out for yourself.

Dior Holiday Couture Collection Smokey Eyes - Lips Palette Review!

Untitled #9

Dior is one of my favorite brands to splurge on in makeup, the  brand always seems to impress me with the quality and presentation of their products. However this one did not quite do it for me.... Lets start with the pros, the eyeshadows are beautiful, highly pigmented and go on like butter. The little pouch is adorable, but the lip "maximizer " and lipstick leave so much to be desired. I did not notice andy difference on my lips and there is no pigment to the lipstick, it does smell nice but thats about it.

Overall its a beautiful palette, the colors are not so different from anything thats out there and the vaseline (lipstick) that comes did not show on my lips at all. I'm glad that I saved my receipt because this one is going back since I can't justify the price for only three eyeshadows.

Tarte Holidaze Light Of The Party Collectors Makeup Case Review and Holiday Makeup Look Idea!

Tarte created a beautiful sequined collectors case palette for the holidays and it's really pretty to look at. The case contains all limited edition colors, a mascara, a duo brush and a travel case with six eye shadows, bronzer, blush and highlight.

The 30 colors on the main palette however I was disappointed with, the colors are very chalky and not pigmented enough for my liking. The double ended brush however feels really nice and actually did a great job at blending. The real winner for me is the travel palette, I used this one to create the look above and the colors are all very pigmented and long lasting.

Overall I suggest you check out the palette in the store before you purchase and see if the colors on the main palette look good on your skin as I think the colors might not show well on medium to dark skins. I am going to be giving the main case as a gift and will be keeping the travel case for myself!

Purchased:Sephora $59

For this look I used the travel palette if you want to see a video tutorial let me know ;)

Too Faced Le Grand Chateau Review

I decided to start this years holiday shopping early, I tend to leave these type of things for last minute and then end up being all stressed out. I could not resist this beautiful packaging from Too Faced and (along with two other ones) decided to purchase! Too Faced are one of the most creative when putting out holiday packaging, they are always so cute I don't even want to use them.

The Le Grande Chateau Limited Edition Dollhouse Box comes with three palettes that include 6 eyeshadows, and one blush. It also comes with a trial size of their best selling Better than sex mascara. They each have a theme (occasion) to them. If you decide to buy it to keep it for your self this makes it nicer because its great for traveling. What make this collection such a great one for gift giving is that you can give the whole box to a special person or if you can give each palette to three special people.

I swathed them and the colors are beautiful, the blushers however I like only two out of three. My favorite palette is Paris After Dark and in second place Paris au Naturale. Check out the pictures of this cute collection and swatches and leave your comments below!

Left To Right: Paris in love, Paris au naturale, Paris after dark

Urban Decay Electric Makeup Palette Review!

Urban Decay does it again, and this time with LOUD and really ELECTRIC colors! I will tell you I'm not one to go for really bright colors like these I always go for the neutrals, I can be boring like that. This palette however will be seeing a lot of me, the colors are irresistible and soooo smooth, highly pigmented and believe it or not very wearable! I cant wait to get Electric and create a few looks using this palette. What do you think about this palette is it a yay or nay for you? Unfortunately, this palette also has a negative. The four reddish shades (Slowburn, Savage, Jilted, and Urban) are technically not approved as "eye safe" yet in the US. I will defenetly keep that in mind and not use it in my clients to be safe but I will be taking the risk and hopefully my eyes don't become irritated.
