I Cant live without/ No Puedo Vivir Sin Mi Vol 7: Too Faced Better Than Sex

I LOVE this mascara so much I keep repurchasing it again and again. As you all may know by now I wear glasses so as much as I love wearing some fab fake lashes this is not always an option. I need a mascara that makes my lashes darker, longer and thicker. This mascara is the bomb and I love that it doesn't dry up my lashes and break them like others.

My First Impressions/ Mi Primera Impresion: Gerard Cosmetics

 I can't tell you how many times I had a cart filled with Gerard Cosmetics products and for whatever reason I never finalized the purchase. I recently started creating wishlists and these were next on the list. My first impression was pure happiness because the packaging is SOOO gorgeous and they are GOLD!! The actual product is absolutely beautiful and all the rave I have seen is well worth it, the pigmentation is great and long lasting. I also purchased the BB Plus illuminating facial cream and its a great product and very versatile it can be used with my foundation for a gorgeous glow or on top to highlight. 

No les puedo decir las veces que intente comprar estos labiales y por una razón o otra nunca los compre. Empece hacer listas de las cosas que quiero comprar y por fin compre estas bellezas. Mi primer impresión fue pura alegría al ver lo hermoso que es el empaque y en color oro! El producto en  es fenomal aplica parejo y los colores son preciosos. También compre crema iluminadora y me encanta puedo usarla mezclada con mi base para un brillo leve o arriba de mi base para un highlight mas intenso. Definitivamente fue una buena compra!

I loved this dress when I saw it online, and immediatly knew I wanted to pair it with my favorite Zara lace up shoes. Something about stripes that makes me feel so confident and less worried about the extra weight I'm packing.  I also cut my hair and I'm really liking it so far, my hair looked so dry and mistreated that the only way to make it look healthier was by cutting it.  I know I have been MIA and apologies for that. I have been sooooo crazy busy with my studio, and with the girls being out of school. I will try to organize my time better so I can do more blogging again!

Product Rave: Color Switch Solo

I first saw a video of the Color Switch on Instagram and my first thought was of disappointment of myself for not thinking of creating something like this. As a makeup artist I go thru a lot of makeup brushes. I have purchased many brush cleaners but they require that you wet the brush and that is not very helpful at all. I purchased one at the IMATS and now I wish I would have purchased a few more since they were like 40% off!

Como un artista del maquillaje voy a través de un montón de pinceles de maquillaje. He comprado muchos limpiadores de cepillo, pero requieren que se moje la brocha y eso no es muy útil en lo absoluto. The way that the Color Switch works is simple after applying your first color to your eyelids, swirl the brush a few times on the sponge and boom your bush is clean and now can be used to apply a different color! 

La forma en que funciona el Color Switch es simple después de aplicar el primer color a tus párpados, mueve el cepillo varias veces sobre la esponja y ya está limpio y ahora puede ser utilizado para aplicar un color diferente.

As you can see on this napkin (bad lighting) I apply a very pigmented bright purple, then cleaned it up with the Color Switch and then rubbed the napkin on the bottom, as you can see the napkin is clean and clear of any product, the sponge really picks up all the pigments from your brush!

Como se puede ver en esta servilleta (mala iluminación) aplique un color muy pigmentado brillante púrpura, luego roce mi brocha en el Color Switch y luego frotó la servilleta en la parte inferior, como se puede ver la servilleta es limpia y clara de cualquier producto, la esponja realmente recoge todos los pigmentos de tu cepillo!

I Found The Perfect Contouring Brush!

Contouring is probably one of the trickiest things that a makeup artist or anyone wants to perfect. The tools that we use are a BIG part of the results and I found an excellent brush to get flawless results and I'm soooo happy to share with you all. This brush is AMAIZING and I'll tell you why; it's all in the curves, see the problem I always found in some "contour" brushes is that they are flat and our faces are not flat we have curves in our cheeks and this brush hugs my face and blends the product seemlessly. Another advantage from the curves is that the contour looks more natural and not so drawn in. I LOVE this brush sephora did a great job. This brush was meant to be used to apply foundation but I have honestly never used it for other then contouring.

Mis amores les encontré la brocha perfecta para hacernos contornos. Estoy tan feliz pues una de las cosas que como maquillista quiero perfeccionar es hacer el contorno perfecto a mis clienta y para mi también! Esta brocha fue creada con la intención de ser usada para aplicarse las bases, yo honestamente nunca la eh usado para otra cosa que no sea contorno. Lo que me encanta de esta brusha son las curvas, son perfecta pues va con la estructura de nuestras cara ya que la mayorías de las briagas son plana y aveces hacen lucir el contorno muy exagerado oh obvio.

Steffany's Choice Best Of Beauty 2013: Flawless Skin Foundations!

Here are my top three makeup foundations of 2013 I pretty much rotate between these three with the guarantee of a flawless finish every time. Finding a good foundation was so important for me this year because I was breaking out so bad and needed a foundation that would offer good coverage but still looked natural and not cake. I have done a review on these foundations before so I'm just going to break down why they made it to my Best Of Beauty awards! 

Aqui les tengo mis bases preferidas del 2013 estas tres las use básicamente el año entero y las tres me ayudan a exhibir un rostro impecable. Para mi no fue facil encontrar bases que me gustaran pues este año sufrí un tiempo de acné mientras estaba en la escuela. Estas base son increíbles y las adoro ya eh hecho un revise completo de cada una en el pasado así que me enfocare solo en dar un resumen del por que me encantan.

This foundation is really amazing I get so many compliments on my "perfect" skin when I wear this one and out of the three this matches my color the best. The only thing which is good and bad is that it has SPF which again is great but not so well for having you photos taken because it might have some flashback. I personally have not had this problem but avoid using it when I expect to take a lot of pictures with flash. 

Esta base es increíble la verdad es que recibo muchos piropos cuando la utilizo por que hace que mi piel luzca perfecta. De todas las otras bases esta es la que mejor machea mi todo de piel y es la unica que trae filtro solar lo que es bueno y malo a laves. Malo por que el filtro puede hacer que luzcas pálida en tus fotos y obvio que es bueno por que ayuda a prevenir las arrugas. 

I cant believe it took me so long to actually try this one even after seeing it year after year winning Allure's Best Of Beauty and other recognitions. Well I do agree that this is an excellent foundation it has great coverage and my skin really does look and feel like silk when I use it. 

Me encanta esta base y no puedo creer que me haya tomado tanto tiempo en tratarla, pero después de ver como año tras año ganaba como mejor base en Allure Best Of Beauty y otros premios la trate y estoy completamente de acuerdo que es una de las mejores bases en el mercado y mi piel se ve como seda cuando la utilizo. 

This is definitely the best High Definition foundation out there, looks great in pictures, videos and face to face out of the three this would be my top pick for bridal and TV makeup for a guaranteed invisible cover.

 Hi my loves on this post I want to talk about the two most used methods for hair removal and break them down to see which method id best for you. As an Esthetician I shouldn't even go over the pros of shaving vs waxing, we are told from the first day we step foot in our class to throw away our razors and don't pick it up again. I loved the idea of not shaving again because personally I hate shaving, my skin gets very irritated and itchy and I always cut myself (ouch)!

Personalmente a mi no me gusta rasurarme pues siempre me irrita y me corto! 

Shaving is the removal of hair by using a razor, shaving is one of the most common and and convenient methods of hair removal. While it is painless people are not always doing it correctly and or not using the right blade for your skin type or the area that you are shaving, this and other factors could lead to skin irritation and cuts. When we shave we are only slicing the hair down to the level of the skin usually your skin feels smooth for the first day or two.

After having this bronzer on my wish-list for a while now I am glad I decided to finally buy it and try it out! This bronzer is so beautiful, its matte and the color is perfect for contouring or just adding some color. Hi beautiful, first of all thank you for reading my blog! I know exactly what you are going thru, and we have the same skin type. I am constantly trying out new foundations, but one thing that is clear to me is that our skin changes with the seasons. I find that in the summer my skin needs are very differently then in the winter. I always switch to a lighter foundation come the colder months. One thing that does not change for our acne-prone skin is that it needs non-clogging products all year round. I have tried the makeup forever matte foundation and I really liked it a lot, but it is in the heavier side. I would recommend that you try a lighter foundation or even a bb creme. I personally love Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, it gives my skin a beautiful dewy finish but its not oily at all. For a more budget friendly I love Maybelline BB creme, I find it covers all my imperfections but it wears so flawlessly and doesn't look or feel heavy. If you are not ready to part with your current foundation, try mixing half of the amount you normally apply with your favorite moisturizer this will sheer out the foundation, helping it look and feel less heavy. He probado Makeup for ever base mate y realmente me gustó mucho, pero es en la parte más pesada. Le recomiendo que pruebe una base mas liviana o incluso un bb crema. Personalmente me encanta Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, da mi piel un hermoso acabado pero no grasosa. Para un presupuesto más amable me encanta Maybelline BB crema, me parece que cubre todas mis imperfecciones pero que se desgasta tan perfectamente y no verse o sentirse pesado. Si usted no está dispuesto a desprenderse de su actual base, trata de mezclar mitad de la cantidad que normalmente se aplica con su favorito crema hidratante, ayudando a su apariencia y sentirse menos pesado. Get Rid Of Dark Circles With This/ Desaparece Tus Ojeras Con Esto...

If you are wondering why I haven't done any fashion posts, or makeup the reason is  I look like I haven't slept in weeks! And i kinda haven't, between home repairs, and my beautiful three year old sleeping with us every night I haven't had a beauty sleep in weeks.  Dark circles along with large pores and acne scars, is one of the most annoying things we come across as women (and even men) A super easy and effective way to remove dark circles and even lighten skin all over your face and body is using potatoes! Potatoes have catecholase which are in all of those really expensive face brighteners you buy from department stores. All you need to do is use the purree of one raw potato and apply it all over your eyes. If you are applying to your eye area make sure you don’t get any in your eyes! Leave on your face for 15 minutes before washing your face as usual! You can repeat this 3 times a week if needed! If you find you need a little moisture, try adding just a few drops of honey or Vitamin E oil. Good Luck Xxx

Los círculos oscuros junto con grandes poros y cicatrices de acné, es uno de los más molestos que nos encontramos las mujeres (y hasta hombres) UN super fácil y efectiva de eliminar los círculos oscuros e incluso aliviar piel de la cara y el cuerpo es con papas. Las papas se han catecholase que están en todos los blanqueadores cara realmente que venden en tiendas por departamento. Todo lo que tienes que hacer es utilizar el purree de una papa cruda y aplicarlo en toda sobre los ojos y rostro. Si usted está aplicando a su área del ojo asegúrate de que no caiga ninguna en tus ojos. Dejar en la cara durante 15 minutos antes de lavarse la cara como de costumbre! Puede repetir este 3 veces a la semana si es necesario. Si necesita un poco de humedad, pruebe a añadir unas pocas gotas de miel o la vitamina E.

Product Review/ Revise De Producto: Pantene Expert Collection Keratin Repair

I wanted to review this product for many reasons, but the main is really the fact that my hair is damaged beyond repair. I have faced the sad reality that I will have to cut a good portion of it in order to help it look health again, and step away from the bleach! I also have the hope that with a good regimen, and maybe going darker I could save a few inches and not cut so much off. That is why I decided to give this a try. 

Yo quería examinar este producto por muchas razones, pero la principal es el hecho de que mi pelo está dañado más allá de la reparación. Me he enfrentado la triste realidad de que voy a tener que cortar una buena parte de la misma, con el fin de ayudar a buscar nuevo la salud, y paso de la lejía. Yo también tengo la esperanza de que con un buen tratamiento y tal vez más oscuro me podría ahorrar unos pocos centímetros y no cortar tanto. Por eso me decidí a probar este producto.

My hair before/ Mi cabello antes

To really put the products to the test, I washed my hair with my regular shampoo, and applied NOTHING else. I let it air dry, combed it and took this picture. Notice how fried my ends look :(

A poner realmente a prueba los productos, me lavé el pelo con mi champú regular, y me aplique nada más. YO deje que se seque al aire, me lo desenrede y tomó esta foto. Observe que maltratado esta mi probe cabello :(

A Front Shot, Oh How I regret These Bangs! 

Step 1: Wash! Because my hair was already pretty clean I only washed once.

Paso 1: Me lave la cabeza y me la enjuage. Solo me di un shampoo por que ya tenia el pelo limpio.

Step 2: Conditioner, I used a good amount since my hair is so long but ended up only needing half. A little goes a long way. I left it on for about 5 minutes and rinsed it off with a lot of water to make sure there was no residue.

Paso 2: Acondicionador, me aplique solo la mitad de la que ven en la foto, solo se necesita una pequeña cantidad. Me lo deje aplicado por 5 minutos y luejo me lo enjuage con mucha agua para asegurarme que no quedara residuos.

Step 3: The leave in, I applied it from the bottom up, concentrating the product on my ends.

Paso 3: El leave-in este me lo aplique de abajo hacia arriba concentrandolo en mis puntas.

I didnt do anything else to my hair and went about my day while it air dried/ No hice nada mas con mi cabello solo lo deje que se secara naturalmente. 

I was very pleasantly surprised! There was a noticeable difference in ONE use. The ends of my hair

looked healthier. MUCH healthier. I can say that overall, my hair looked almost split free!!! And it feels very soft but for some reason my scalp feels itchy, and to be completely honest my hair did not feel very clean. 

Me ha sorprendido muy gratamente. Hay una notable diferencia con un solo uso. Pelo parecía más saludable MUCHO más sano. Puedo decir que, en general, mi cabello parecía ser otro!!! se siente muy suave pero por alguna razón mi cuero cabelludo se siente picazón, y para ser del todo sincero mi cabello no se siente muy limpio.

The Conclusion:

Pros:

• I really did notice the difference after one use. My hair felt softer and my ends didnt look so fried.
• It smells really good, this is always a pro for me!
• Its an affordable product.

Cons:

• The shampoo is a mayor reason why I might not continue using this line, its not Sulfate-free and that is no good for me!
• My hair did not feel clean, It felt a little heavy
• Itchy scalp! 

La conclusión: 

Pros:

• realmente note la diferencia después de un uso. Mi pelo más suave y no tan frito.
• Huele muy bien, siempre es para mí un pro!
• Es un producto asequible.

Contras:

• el champú no es sulfato-libre
• Mi pelo no se siente limpio, se siente un poco pesado
• Picazón en el cuero cabelludo.
