DIY Of The Week: Depuff And Brighten Your Under Eyes Instantly!

Lets face it, the holidays can be both fun and stressful at the same time. The days seem to only get shorter and your list of to do's only get longer. I show this stress in my eyes, they get so puffy and dark that it looks like someone punched me in both eyes. 

As much as I love to rely on my daily routines to treat my skin imperfections, nothing works quite as good as my DIY's. The ingredients are fresh and the results are always more noticeable. One of my favorite ingredients for skin lightning (brightening) are in this amazing mask. Use it and let me know if you love it as much as I do! 

Ingredients

1 Tablespoon Mashed Banana

1 Tablespoon Raw Potato (Shredded) 

Lemon Juice 

Mix together banana and potato and add just a squeeze of lemon juice. Place mixture in the fridge for 10-30 minutes before applying under the eyes. Make sure you don’t get any in your eyes when applying. Let sit for 5-10 minutes before removing gently with a wet towel. Repeat up to Three times a week if needed.

I think we can all agree when I say that concealer is one of the most important makeup items. A great concealer is supposed to conceal, even out, and the most important not crease like crazy. I have been a fan of Nars concealers for sometime now and I just became obsessed with their most recent one.

Nars soft matte concealer is perfection, I love it so much that as of late, I exclusively use it for doing my makeup. I carry it in my makeup bag to apply it on the go with confidence. It comes in my skin color, it needs minimum setting, and does not crease on me at all.  The coverage is full and the finish is exactly a "Soft Matte" the best way to describe it. 

I have very dark and noticeable veins in the side of my eyes as well as dark circles and the concealer cancels everything out. The Best Concealers For Covering Dark Circles, Blemishes, And Tattoos!

I think we can all agree when I say that concealer is THE most important makeup we use, specially if like me you have dark circles or any blemish, scar or even tattoo you want to cover. I was going thru my makeup stash, organizing and getting rid of some colors that no longer work for me and decided to share with you all my most used concealer of all times on my self and clients. I will list them in no particular order.

The one thing these concealers all have in common is they carry that perfect peachy tone that is necessary to cancel out (blue) dark circles. The second thing they all have in common is they are super pigmented which means a little bit goes a looooong way. Last but not least they are all available in stores and have a great range of colors...... Now to the breakdown of each one:

1. Nars Concealer is creamy, long-wearing, crease-resistant, and ultra-light yet opaque helps me achieve a flawless finish. I have replaced this concealer twice and for me that a big deal! 
2. Mac Studio Conceal and Correct palette is perfect to use on my clients, but I purchased one for personal use as well. With this palette I can rest assure to always have the right colors and whats even better it comes with two color correcting colors, the yellow one is great for brightening and the orange for canceling out dark circles. 
3. Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer.... remember I said a little goes a long way with these concealers, well with this one you definitely want to ha a light hand, or you will be blending forever! 
4. Kat Von D Lock- it Concealer is my go to for super heavy coverage, like tattoos and scars, for dark circles not so much on me personally but my super oily skin clients RAVE about it. Its super pigmented, water and transfer resistant.
5. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit this is my go to for a quick and fuss free makeup application, it blends smoothly. It does a good job at canceling out and brightening my dark circles and blending in with the rest of my face. 
6. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer, the name of this product says it all! Its an all in one, conceal and treat your dark circles. I love using this anytime I feel like skipping a few steps in my beauty routine. It cancels out my dark circles and sets fairly quick which helps it not crease. 

The number one question I always get asked is how to avoid creasing, and while these concealers are great if you don't set them (or any) with powder they will move through the day. My next post will be all about setting powders ;) 

My Favorite Recipes For Hair And Skin Using Coffee/ Mis Cinco Recetas Favoritas Para El Cuidado De Mi Piel Y Cabello Usando Cafe!

 I don't drink coffee and I try to stay away from any drinks that contain caffeine, it makes me super jittery and really sicK. I do however love the smell and I love even more to use it in my skin care, if like me you have really bad dark circles than you probably know that most of the eye creams contain coffee and after you try some of my favorite DIY treatments you will see why! 

The caffeine in coffee has benefits like treating redness and inflammation, to getting rid of the horrible cellulite. Coffee contains anti-inflamatory and antioxidant properties that can keep your skin bright and soft. Also the caffeine can shrink the blood vessel under your eyes reducing circles and puffy eyes. Try some or all of these beauty DIY and let me know how you liked them....

Coffee Face Mask:

• 2 tbsp of freshly ground coffee (or used grinds)
• 2 tbsp cocoa powder
• 3 tablespoons of whole milk, heavy cream, or yogurt 
• 1 tbsp of honey

Mix all ingredients together and apply a light coat to face let sit for about 15 minutes. Remove with warm wash cloth.

Coffee Body Scrub:

• 1 Cup of coffee grounds
• 1 Cup of coconut oil melted
• 1-3 Drops of lemon essential oil 
• 1-3 Drops of orange essential oil
• 1/2 Cup coconut sugar 

Caffeine Eye Coffe Mask:

• 1 tbsp of organic coffee
• 1 tbsp of honey 
• 1 tbsp of vitamin e oil

Mix all the ingredients together and apply a thick layer under your eyes, leave it on for 15-20 minutes and rinse off. 

Coffee Eye Pads: 

• Brew some organic coffee and let it cool. Dip a cotton pad in it and use it to treat your puffy or tired eyes. Leave it on for 5-10 minutes. 

Shiny Hair Treatment 

• Coffee
• Water

Prepare a strong coffee, then add a bit of water. let it cool until the mixture is lukewarm. Standing in the tub, pour the liquid onto your hair hair and scalp, then put a shower cap on and sit for 20 minutes. Wash out with warm water.

Get Rid Of Your Under Eye Circles

I have super sensitive eyes that just react to every single element and on top of that with so much going on right now I'm not getting my recommended hours of sleep. Needless to say my eyes get really puffy and as but I have the best remedy for my puffy eyes right in my kitchen. So this is what I do...  I prepare my tea like I usually do but instead use two tea bags, then I place the bags in the fridge for 15 minutes. Meanwhile I drink my tea, then take the tea bags and place them on my eyes for 10 minutes. The caffeine and cold constrict blood vessels and drain fluid. Then I dab a pea-size drop of depuffing eye cream that contains caffeine on the area( I like Origins). Drink a lot of water and go on about my day. For me this doesnt get rid of them completly but it makes a huge deference, try it and let me know if it works for you!

No puedo subrayar lo mucho que odio mis ojeras. TENGO super ojos sensibles que reaccionan ante cada uno de los elementos y en la parte superior de que con todo lo que se cuece ahora mismo no estoy recibiendo mis horas recomendadas de sueño. No hace falta decir que mis ojos hinchados y como realmente pero tengo el mejor remedio para mis ojos hinchados en mi cocina. Así que esto es lo que hago... Me preparo mi té como hago siempre, pero en su lugar, utilice dos bolsitas de té, entonces me coloque las bolsas en la nevera durante 15 minutos. Mientras tanto yo voy a beber mi té, a continuación, tomar el té y los coloque en mis ojos durante 10 minutos. La cafeína y el frío constriñe los vasos sanguíneos y drenan el líquido. Entonces me unto  una crema de contorno de ojos que contiene cafeína en el area( me gusta origins).  Beba mucha agua en el día. Para mí esto no deshacerse de ellos completamente pero hace una gran diferencia, pruébelo y que me haga saber si funciona para usted!

Get Rid Of Dark Circles With This/ Desaparece Tus Ojeras Con Esto...

If you are wondering why I haven't done any fashion posts, or makeup the reason is  I look like I haven't slept in weeks! And i kinda haven't, between home repairs, and my beautiful three year old sleeping with us every night I haven't had a beauty sleep in weeks.  Dark circles along with large pores and acne scars, is one of the most annoying things we come across as women (and even men) A super easy and effective way to remove dark circles and even lighten skin all over your face and body is using potatoes! Potatoes have catecholase which are in all of those really expensive face brighteners you buy from department stores. All you need to do is use the purree of one raw potato and apply it all over your eyes. If you are applying to your eye area make sure you don’t get any in your eyes! Leave on your face for 15 minutes before washing your face as usual! You can repeat this 3 times a week if needed! If you find you need a little moisture, try adding just a few drops of honey or Vitamin E oil. Good Luck Xxx

Si usted se está preguntando por qué no he hecho ningún look de moda, o maquillaje la razón es que me miro como no he dormido en semanas! Y la verdad es que no, entre las reparaciones del hogar, y mi hermosa niña de tres años durmiendo con nosotros todas las noches no he tenido un sueño de belleza en semanas. Los círculos oscuros junto con grandes poros y cicatrices de acné, es uno de los más molestos que nos encontramos las mujeres (y hasta hombres) UN super fácil y efectiva de eliminar los círculos oscuros e incluso aliviar piel de la cara y el cuerpo es con papas. Las papas se han catecholase que están en todos los blanqueadores cara realmente que venden en tiendas por departamento. Todo lo que tienes que hacer es utilizar el purree de una papa cruda y aplicarlo en toda sobre los ojos y rostro. Si usted está aplicando a su área del ojo asegúrate de que no caiga ninguna en tus ojos. Dejar en la cara durante 15 minutos antes de lavarse la cara como de costumbre! Puede repetir este 3 veces a la semana si es necesario. Si necesita un poco de humedad, pruebe a añadir unas pocas gotas de miel o la vitamina E.

Drugstore Product Of The Week: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Concealer!

Left Tor Right: Medium And Neutralizer

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Concealer ($9.99) is a super-concentrated and pigmented liquid concealer combined with goji berry and haloxyl to help erase the appearance of dark circles and puffiness around the eyes. It has a unique tube design in that when you twist the top, product will be released in the round, squishy applicator sponge.

Available in (6) shades: Fair, Light, Medium, Honey, Neutralizer and Brightener. Although the neutralizer shade can be used on it's own, it's also recommended for extreme dark circles to apply underneath your regular concealer for maximum coverage. The brightener shade is pink based used to brighten up areas of the eyes and face. Neutralizer is a light peachy yellow color. It applys slightly lighter than it looks in the tube, but works amazing when blended with the concealer on top.The medium shade is the best match for me.

You have to twist the tube several times to get it going at first and thereafter a small amount is dispersed with each twist. You can apply it to your undereyes with the sponge directly, or you can wipe the product off with your finger to apply or wipe the product off with a concealer brush. I like using it directly from the tube.

Overall, I love this concealer as the coverage is very good and I think it's just an overall great product. I love the little sponge and although it might not be so hygienic. I wish the product itself was a little creamier and had a more natural finish. But I still think from the many drugstore concealers I've tried, this is one of the better ones. I think it's also a good concealer if you're going for the light under eye/Kim K. concealer look. I find that it holds up really well throughout the day without fading which is my favorite part about it. 

The Conclusion: 

Pros: 

• Great high medium to full coverage
• Easy to apply
• Highlights and brightens the under-eyes
• Blends well
• Lightweight - doesn't look or feel heavy
• Lasts all day without creasing

Cons: 

• Can have the tendency to look dry under the eyes - make sure to moisturize prior. Because of this, it might not work the best for those with very dry under eyes or for those with lots of fine lines. (Results will of course vary though!)
• Sets quickly and after it sets it can be difficult to work with
• Not the best color selection, especially for those with dark skin
• The sponge applicator isn't completely hygienic and it can be difficult to clean

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Corrector De Ojeras: Es un super-concentrado líquido corrector y pigmentadas combinado con goji berry y haloxyl para eliminar la apariencia de las ojeras y las bolsas alrededor de los ojos. Tiene un único diseño de tubo en que cuando se gira la parte superior, el producto será lanzado en la ronda, yoyo esponja aplicadora.

Disponible en (6) Tonos:  Incluyendo un neutralizador y blanqueadores. A pesar de que la sombra del neutralizador puede utilizarse por sí mismo, también es recomendable para las ojeras para aplicar corrector debajo de su ordinario para conseguir la máxima cobertura. El blanqueador es de color rosa utilizado para iluminar las zonas de los ojos y la cara. Neutralizador es una luz color durazno amarillo. Que apliques un poco más ligero de lo que parece en el tubo, pero funciona increíble cuando se los combina con el corrector en la parte superior. El color medium es la mejor para mí tono de piel.

Tienes que girar el tubo varias veces al principio para que el producto suba a la esponja y posteriormente una pequeña cantidad se dispersa con cada giro. Se puede aplicar a su ojeras con la esponja directamente, o bien puede eliminar el producto con el dedo para aplicar o eliminar el producto con una escobilla encubridora. Yo prefiero usar directamente del tubo, como creo que es la manera más fácil de usar este producto.

En general, me encanta este corrector con una ampliación de la cobertura es muy buena y creo que es en general es un gran producto. Me encanta la pequeña esponja y a pesar de que puede no ser tan higiénico. Deseo que el producto en sí era un poco más espesa y acabado natural. Pero aún creo que la de muchas farmacias encubridores que he probado, este es uno de los mejores. Yo creo que también es un buen corrector si vas para la luz debajo de ojos/ al estilo de Kim K. Me parece que tiene una capacidad muy bien durante todo el día sin decolorarse que es mi parte favorita.

Pros:

• muy alta mediana o plena cobertura
• es muy fácil de aplicar
• mezcla bien los ojos
• ligeros, no verse o sentirse fuerte
• dura todo el día sin arrugarse

Desventajas:

•  Puede tener la tendencia a observar debajo de los ojos secos - asegúrese de hidratar antes. Debido a esto, puede ser que no funcione lo mejor para personas con  los ojos secos o para aquellos con un montón de líneas finas. (Los resultados varían, por supuesto!).
• Establece rápidamente y después de que se puede ser difícil trabajar con ella
• no es la mejor selección de color, especialmente para los que tienen la piel oscura
• El aplicador de esponja no es completamente higiénico y puede ser difícil de limpiar
